WE'RE BACK
I hope that no one thought the site had dissapeared for good, but just as I was about to give up because of a antileech script which prevented just about everyone from downloading at all, it seems that the webmaster was getting tired aswell and decided to change host. It took forever and during the move the entire 64scener site was lost, well not totally lost since I update everything in an offline copy. Anyway I'm currently uploading everything again, not much is online at this moment, please be patient and try again later if the file you want is missing.

FINAL SET OF N64 RELEASE DATES FROM THQ
Aidyn Chronicles & Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine are supposedly the last two N64 releases we'll see from THQ, they're both set to be released 2 June 2001, same day as the GBA is out. Aidyn Chronicles will be getting a retail price of £49.99, no price is set for Indiana Jones at this time.

DANISH GBA RETAIL PRICE SET
the danish Nintendo distributor K.E. Media has recently announced the danish retail price for the Gameboy Advance. The system is set to be sold for a whopping 1199 DKK (about US$140) and the games for 399 to 499 DKK (about US$45 to 60). The prices are not final though, but seriously, this one a bit too much I think.

AMERICAN ADVANCE GBA BOXART RELEASED

A box art page has been added aswell.

MORE GAMES DUMPED
A total of 9 more games have been dumped, although none yet available for the public, which means that 10 games are currently dumped but unreleased. Don't ask me when this will happen or where to get them, I'm just a news guy and nothing more :)

The games dumped are:
Castlevania Circle of the Moon
Fire Pro Wrestling Ace
Advance GTA
Wai Wai Racing
Momotarou Matsuri
Monster Guardians
Napoleon
Powerful Pro Baseball Pocket 3
Pinobee Quest of Heart
Dungeon Dice Monsters

REMEMBER THESE?
Just found these on an old archive CD, artists thoughts of what the GBA could look like. I personally think the way it was release is by far the best, it's shape kinda reminds me of an old Game&Watch LCD, which actually was my first "videogame" experience I think :)

Oh and notice the 4 buttons and no shoulder buttons hehehe

RELEASE LIST UPDATED
I've added a lot more games to the GBA release list, I was missing all the Capcom ones as well as some others. A few more release dates have been added aswell. Click here to check it out.

I still receive a lot of mails from people who cannot download from 64scener, it simply says that the file does not exist. However this is caused by armageddongames' stupid antileech script, if you wanna help me change this (remove it?) then please mail contact@armageddongames.com about the problem.

I wouldn't want to move this site... again.. but will if nesseary :-/

OLD NEWSPAPER ARTICLE
I just found this old article from a danish news paper called "Jyllands Posten". It was written in Spring last year as far as I remember, unfortunately I forgot to write down the date. For those of you capable of reading danish, check it out here. Sorry I can't be bothered to translate it right now :)

RELEASE LIST ADDED
Not a rom release list, but the real ones. It's designed so that it in the future will feature both US and European release dates, aswell as links to a page dedicated to each release, containing useful information about the release and who knows, maybe even a small review eventually.

Check it out here.

Please do note that it's still under heavy construction and therefore may be incorrect in some places and maybe even missing some announced games. If you know fo a game not listed, or release dates, then feel free to e-mail me.

1 APRIL 2001
LOOKING BACK AT MARCH
Another month has passed and the Nintendo64 is even closer to it's final destination, in the dumpster. Erh anyway it was quite a month for the Nintendo64 in Europe, who got a lot of old NTSC releases, mainly distributed by THQ who also promised to bring even more games to Europe, including Rare's incredible Conker's Bad Fur Day aswell as Lucas Arts' rental-only Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, one of the better N64 games aswell. March was also the month where the huge delayed, and even said to be cancelled at some point by a few gaming sites, finally was released. Aidyn Chronicles will see a European release somtime in May, no exact date has been set yet.

March was also the month where the next generation of handheld gaming became available in stores, in Japan atleast. The Gameboy Advance was finally available and lucky the online stores got their share of the first batch, so people outside of Asia was able to get their hands on the unit aswell, damn you SimonB ;)

Only a few days after the release, first signs of backups appeared on an asian site called www.billyjr.com and they had been made with a homebrewn backup unit. A password protected RAR archive with the roms began floating around, however the two games, F-Zero and Mario Advance, later were rereleased for the public in unprotected zips, although I noticed that these were nuked on a few FTP sites and claimed to be bad dumps. Anyway we're up to 4 dumped games now which I believe all comes from the same souce eventhough Eurasia release the newest two dumps.

I'm not sure when we will see the first mass produced copier, but it could be around the time the GBA is released in the US, a few months from now. The great news is that the GBXchanger works with the GBA, BUT WILL NOT PLAY OR COPY GAMEBOY ADVANCE GAMES, it is a Gameboy Color copier and will only work with GBC games, so you will be able to play GBC gameson the GBA using a Bung Flash Cartridge.

It's said though that you actually can use a NeoGeo pocket copier with the GBA too, so it will play NeoGeo games on your GBA, NGP and GBA cartridges are aroubt the same size, all you have to do is upload a little program along with the game ROM to your NGP flash cartridge and you're off. Maybe it's time to secture one of those NGP copiers? and who knows maybe someone will write a program which will let you copy games using the NGP copier!
