Rooms add functionality to your dungeon. Without Rooms, there would be no place to store treasure, house monsters, research spells, or train your minions. (Not to mention that your design would be pretty boring...)

You make rooms by choosing a claimed area (or digging a new area), and placing a group of like "room tiles" together to make the room. Although a room can only 1 tile, rooms that are 3x3 or 5x5 squares are more effective.

Each room type has a distinct function. Different rooms, working together, provide the resources you need in your quest to crush everything good.
